DESCRIPTION:
My felted tassel bookmarks are artistically designed to accentuate the inherent beauty of natural wool locks. To make my tassels, I use natural, undyed, unbleached sheep wool which is shorn for the sheep's pleasure & yours as they are alive & well, happily roaming the fields on their small family farms.
These unique tassels feature wool locks from a variety of rare & heritage breed sheep. By purchasing their wool, you are helping to preserve the shepherding heritage & these beautiful sheep!
THE PROCESS:
Felting is a labor of love with each piece being designed & artfully crafted entirely by hand. The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two will ever be the same. In fact, they will assuredly be "imperfectly perfect" with all of the characteristics of the natural wool emerging in each carefully designed piece. That, to me, is what makes each mat such a beautiful art piece for you to both use and enjoy!
PLEASE NOTE:
The wool & locks I use is purchased directly from & supports small farms & shepherds. You will inevitably find bits of hay or wild vegetation occasionally intertwined within the felted layers which adds a unique artistic & organic quality to each hand designed piece.

What a fun gift these make. Bought these bookmarks for my books…but they are so lovely that I made a braided bracelet with them and wear them. The energy from the wool is incredible. What a neat and fun gift idea.

These are beautiful tassels, one of them has been added to my motorcycle keychain. It is protected from the wind by the windshieldand it looks beautiful along with the tassels of the keychain. Thank you!
