DESCRIPTION:
My felted trims are artistically designed to accentuate the inherent beauty of wool. To make the felt, I used natural, undyed, unbleached sheep wool, adding shorn locks along the edge.

This unique trim features wool from Jolo, a gorgeous Longwool sheep. This is a rare heritage breed, listed as threatened by the Livestock Conservancy & is part of the "Shave 'Em to Save 'Em initiative. By purchasing her wool, you are helping to preserve this gorgeous breed! All of the wool used to make my trim is shorn for the sheep's pleasure & yours as they are alive & well, happily roaming the fields on their small family farms.

Jolo's wavy locks have a soft lustre & are a stunning combination of taupe, cream & grey.

THE PROCESS:
Felting is a labor of love with each piece being designed & artfully crafted entirely by hand. The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two will ever be the same. In fact, they will assuredly be "imperfectly perfect" with all of the characteristics of the natural wool emerging in each carefully designed piece. That, to me, is what makes each trim such a beautiful art piece for you to both use and enjoy!

PLEASE NOTE:
The wool & locks I use is purchased directly from & supports small farms & shepherds. You may find bits of hay or wild vegetation occasionally intertwined within the felted layers which adds a unique artistic & organic quality to each hand designed piece.
