DESCRIPTION:
My felted tassels are artistically designed to accentuate the inherent beauty of natural wool locks. To make these tassels, I use natural, undyed, unbleached sheep wool which is shorn for the sheep's pleasure & yours as they are alive & well, happily roaming the fields on their small family farms.
This unique beaded swag garland features locks from a lovely Longwool sheep which is a rare heritage breed & is listed as threatened by the sheep conservation association.
The wavy white locks are soft with a subtle, pearl like sheen, adding just the right touch of texture!

THE PROCESS:
Felting is a labor of love with each piece being designed & artfully crafted entirely by hand. The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two will ever be the same. In fact, they will assuredly be "imperfectly perfect" with all of the characteristics of the natural wool emerging in each carefully designed piece. That, to me, is what makes each tassel such a beautiful art piece for you to both use and enjoy!
PLEASE NOTE:
The wool & locks I use is purchased directly from & supports small farms & shepherds. You may find bits of hay or wild vegetation within the felted layers which adds a unique artistic & organic quality to each hand designed piece.
